User General settings

The page user general settings allows a user to access Loan Performer using a using a valid user name and password.

How do you to user general settings?

To to access Loan Performer, go to Systems/Configuration/Users/General a screen like one below appears:

• Click on the General button and the Loan performer access window shows up.

• Maximum number of log in attempts: Enter here the maximum number of attempts a user can try to log in e.g. "3". Beyond which Loan Performer will deny access.
• Only strong password: Activate this option and log in will be possible only with strong passwords e.g. having:

  • Minimum length 8, Maximum length 14

  • Contain Uppercase Letters (A To Z)

  • Contain Lowercase Letters (a To z)

  • Digits from (0 to 9)

  • Special characters (!@#$%^&*()_+~ e.t.c)

• Disable User account if log in attempts is more than maximum: When this option is activated a user's account will be disabled when he or she logs more than the maximum number of log in attempts allowed by LPF e.g. "3" in the above example.
• Log failed login attempts: Activate this option and Loan Performer will always keep a record of all failed log in attempts. You will be able to see the report on the failed log ins under System/User Log Reports
• Allow user to change database at log in: When this option is activated, the options of SQL server and the remote access become active too and the user can switch between SQL databases or be able to log remotely to another database as seen below.
• 
• Maximum number of old passwords not to reuse: Activate this option and enter the number of times an old pass word can be reused when it expires e.g "1". Other wise LPF will give the following validation message "You can not use the old password again, press a key to continue"
